CM Manifesto:
"Everyone is creative
Everyone is welcome"

Olelo translation:
"He noʻeau kākou a pau
E kipa mai, nou ka hale"

The text seeks to emphasize the importance of individual contributions and creative collaboration within a community. It acknowledges the value of building upon predecessors' expertise and foundational work. Additionally, it highlights the significance of creating a supportive and nurturing environment for gatherings, focusing on hospitality and the concept of a welcoming home. Although not directly translating the intended English phrase, it plans to capture the essence of attaining skill through theory and praxis in a welcoming environment.

About the Organization
CreativeHNL DBA Spectra Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering creativity and community engagement in Hawaii through public art, art education and creating a network of creatives.

Our mission is to serve Hawaii’s creative community by providing platforms for collaboration, learning, and cultural expression. Through innovative programming and transformative public art initiatives, we aim to enrich lives, revitalize communities, and inspire future generations of artists and creative thinkers.

Our primary program is CreativeMornings Honolulu. A monthly breakfast lecture series that has been called “TED Talk for the rest of us”. We celebrate our city’s creative talent but also promote an open space to connect with like-minded individuals. From local legends to hometown heroes, speakers are selected by each chapter based on a global theme each month and include free breakfast, live music, and coffee.

Our other program, Spectra Fest is more than just an event—it’s a movement that brings together artists, musicians, filmmakers, educators, and local businesses to inspire creativity, foster economic growth, and strengthen community connections.
